An Eat All You Can Experience At Cabalen

We love to try some buffet style restaurants because it offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from and we can control our intakes in case we want to have more. We also love to check if the food and experience is worth the price.

So one fine evening after a short mall hoppin' in Harbor Point Subic, my family decided to eat at a familiar "Eat All You Can" restaurant called Cabalen. My kids had been wanting to try Cabalen for a long time and since hubby and I were both on vacation, we didn't think twice trying what their buffet can offer.

We didn't have a chance to take pictures of some main dishes because it was getting crowded at the area that time. I was a bit disappointed as some service staff were not attentive and never replenish the empty chafing dish on the buffet table right away even after you have already called their attention.  In fact, they never responded with a yes or a no after being asked.  I also noticed that they don't place table napkins on the table. How do they expect us to get along eating if like that?  On the second thoughts, maybe they are worried that some food items will be wrapped on tissues?  Well, I really don't know (lol)

But my I think my daughter really enjoyed the dessert area because she can make her all-time-favorite "Halo-halo".

Below is the dessert area. They serve rice cakes, gelatin, maja-blanca, minatamis na saging and ginataang bilo-bilo.

I love their selection of appetizers and side dishes.

Cabalen features Filipino and other Asian dishes and is well known for their "Kapampangan" style of dishes. The price is P298 per head. Overall, we still enjoy the experience and the foods at Cabalen.  Are we going to come back?  Well, probably yes. :)

Have you tried Cabalen yet?  What was your experience?
