Vanilla Cup Cake Subic Bay Freeport

We just had a simple celebration for my daughter Mika's birthday last January 4. We have decided that we are going to spend it just the three of us... me, her and her kuya Edmar.  Her Dad will be home in February as he wanted to be present during her unica hija's graduation rites, so he cannot come home early for her daughter's birthday (buhay ofw). :)

Anyway, I asked Mika where she wants to go aside from our chosen restaurant where we intend to have our lunch.  I was referring to a cafe where we can hang out and have a talk while drinking coffee. She immediately told me that she wanted to try Vanilla Cup Cake inside the Subic Bay Freeport.  Honestly, that sounds new to me but she assured me that the place is nice and cozy although she haven't been there yet actually.  I think she'd been hearing about Vanilla Cup Cake from reviews on Facebook and had seen photos of it's branches in Manila.  So, Vanilla Cup Cake was our second stop after we've been to Aresi Restaurant for our lunch.  My daughter was right, the place is really cozy and the moment you enter the door, you will feel that you are entering a wonderland with all the bursts of colors and enchanting chandeliers adorned with artificial flowers.  To be honest, we could not decide immediately where we wanted to be seated as every corner of the restaurant is picture perfect.  I guess this would be a good "chill place" while waiting for our musicians friend return.  Probably my daughter is waiting for an invite to a music bar (lol).

Here are some of the photos taken inside Vanilla Cup Cake inside the Freeport.

Look at those lights adorned with flowers, so cool!

We ordered for some drinks, I forgot the name though.  Their prices are quite expensive although I hate to say that I don't really enjoy the taste of the cakes and the drinks.  The green salad was okay though, the Romaine lettuce is fresh and crispy.

They have choices for cupcakes that could be seen on the glass display, but we opted to have sliced cakes.

These chairs are really really cute! How I wish I could bring home one. (lol)

I love the framed quotes in black and white. They come in different shapes and sizes.  I almost wanted to go near to that wall and read all the quotes. :)

Overall, the place looks appealing although I won't say that foods are exceptional.  Oh and one more thing, we got disturbed by flies.  I can't concentrate with what I'm doing until I politely told the waitress about it.  She immediately brought us a scented candle maybe to drive away the flies, but sadly, that didin't help at all.  I wonder how could these flies take entry into such a beautiful place. I've noticed that the staff are looking at us and I could see from their faces that they feel so shy, so I just told my kids to just forget about the flies. hehe

If you're looking for a nice cozy place, I think this is worth a visit especially if you want to capture really nice photos.  Our photos here were just taken from my daughter's Iphone, I wish we had a better camera. lol
